My name is Aaron Simms, and I am a writer specializing in Christian theology, history, and classical studies. I am also a pastor in The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and serve at a mission church in Georgia (US). I’m also a member of the American Academy of Religion and the founder of St. Polycarp Publishing House.
This site serves as my author blog where I aim to provide a Christian and distinctively Lutheran perspective on life and faith. I give a fresh perspective on things such as the foundations of the Christian faith, history, current events, and international affairs.
My academic studies include international relations, economics, psychology, classical history, and theology at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, Georgia), Troy University (Troy, Alabama), and Concordia Seminary (St. Louis, Missouri). I’ve also spent some time traveling internationally to places such as Russia, China, Sweden, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, among others. When I’m not writing, blogging, preaching, or working, I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, hiking, and running.
You can email me here.
I have author pages on Amazon and Goodreads as well as Facebook and Twitter accounts you can check out. In particular, feel free to use Goodreads’ “ask the author” feature.
I’m also active on the Christianity forum at StackExchange:
